Three Things People Get Wrong
The most-repeated GTA VI claims that don't survive a check against Rockstar's own material.
"300+ confirmed cars"
Claim - full vehicle lists with stats are already available.
Reality - Rockstar has published no vehicle count and no performance data.
- Four vehicles are named in official footage: Declasse Tulip, Jobuilt Phantom, an airboat, and a cargo ship.
- Larger lists blend the 2022 development leak with community guesswork.
- Top speed and handling figures for an unreleased game are invented.

Claim - the 2022 leak tells us how the game plays.
Reality - that build predates launch by years and may not reflect the shipping game.
- Leaked footage showed work-in-progress systems and debug tools.
- Rockstar has never described character switching for GTA 6.
- Property ownership and a character creator have no official mention.

Claim - a premium collector's box is coming.
Reality - pre-orders opened with exactly two editions and no statue bundle.

- The $229 figure came from an unconfirmed retailer listing, not Rockstar.

November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar confirmed the date in November 2025 and has not changed it since.
Not announced. No date, no storefront, and no system requirements have been published. Any PC specs you see quoted are fabricated.
Not at launch, based on Rockstar's own wording - the studio consistently describes it as a single-player experience. A December 2026 online window is a leaker rumour, not an announcement.
The $79.99 Standard Edition is the full game. The $99.99 Ultimate Edition adds premium vehicles, weapons, and apparel, and is digital only. Both include the Vintage Vice City Pack if bought before November 20.
Rockstar has not said. Community estimates put Leonida at roughly 1.5 to 2 times the size of GTA V's map, spread across six named regions.
Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, presented as a couple in a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style crime story. Lucia is the first playable female protagonist in a mainline Grand Theft Auto.
