GTA 6 Vehicles: What the Trailers Have Actually Shown
The named vehicles visible in official footage, why the '300+ cars' figure is an estimate, and why no performance stats exist.

Vehicle lists are where GTA VI coverage goes furthest off the rails. Sites routinely publish two-hundred-entry tables sourced from the 2022 leak and present them as confirmed. The list of vehicles Rockstar has actually shown in official footage is short - and worth knowing precisely.
Named in official footage
| Vehicle | Type | Where it appeared |
|---|---|---|
| Declasse Tulip | Muscle car | The most featured vehicle in Trailer 2 - an orange model driven by both protagonists |
| Jobuilt Phantom | Semi truck | Seen hauling a Patriot Beer container |
| Airboat | Watercraft | Shown in the Grassrivers wetlands |
| Cargo ship | Watercraft | A working cargo ship - a first for the series |

The Declasse Tulip is effectively the game's hero car. If you have seen one GTA VI screenshot, there is a good chance the orange Tulip was in it.
On the '300+ vehicles' figure
Community trackers estimate over 200 vehicles based on trailers, screenshots, and leaked development footage combined, with some projecting 300 or more at launch. Rockstar has published no count. These estimates are useful as a rough scale indicator and useless as a specific fact - a vehicle appearing in a 2022 development build is not evidence it ships in 2026.
| Claim | Basis | Treat as |
|---|---|---|
| 4 vehicles identifiable in trailers | Official footage | Confirmed |
| 100+ unique models | Leak plus community reconstruction | Rough indicator |
| 200–300+ at launch | Projection from previous games | Speculation |
| Top speed / handling figures | Nothing | Fabricated |
Treat any complete GTA VI vehicle list with stats - top speed, handling, price - as fabricated. No performance data exists for an unreleased game, and no amount of leak footage produces a handling figure.
Manufacturers that carry over
Two in-universe manufacturers are confirmed by the named vehicles: Declasse and Jobuilt, both long-running series brands. That tells us the fictional-manufacturer system continues, which was never really in doubt, but it also means model names from previous games are plausible without being confirmed. A Declasse badge does not tell you which Declasse models return.
Why water vehicles matter more here
Leonida's geography forces the issue. With the Keys as an island chain and Grassrivers as wetlands, two of six regions are only properly navigable by water. That is a structural change from GTA V, where boats were an optional diversion. Expect watercraft to carry mission weight rather than sitting at a marina as scenery.
- Leonida Keys - island-to-island travel makes boats a primary route, not a shortcut.
- Grassrivers - shallow wetland where airboats are the practical option.
- VC Port - described as the cruise ship capital of the world, with large-vessel traffic.
The vehicles Rockstar has actually named
Since the edition material was published, the confirmed list has grown from a handful of trailer sightings to a set of vehicles named in prose with manufacturers attached.
| Vehicle | Manufacturer | Named where |
|---|---|---|
| '95 Grotti Cheetah | Grotti | Ultimate Edition |
| '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy | Vapid | Ultimate Edition |
| '55 Vapid Stanier | Vapid | Vintage Vice City Pack |
| Vapid Ganado | Vapid | Jason's own vehicle |
| Dinka Enduro | Dinka | Ultimate Edition |
| Crest Kayak | Crest | Ultimate Edition |
| Squalo | Not stated | Ultimate Edition |
| Declasse Tulip | Declasse | Identified in Trailer 2 footage |
| A two-door Canis off-roader | Canis | Badge visible; model unnamed |
Five returning manufacturers, one new one - Crest - and one dealership name, Pegassi, visible in a screenshot background. That is considerably more than the series usually confirms before launch.
Named by model year
Three vehicles carry an explicit model year, which is new for the series. Previous GTA games rarely dated their fleet in marketing.
- 1955 - the Vapid Stanier, a mid-century American full-size sedan.
- 1967 - the Vapid Dominator Buggy, a first-generation muscle car turned mud buggy.
- 1995 - the Grotti Cheetah, described as an ode to Shore Drive.
Four decades between the oldest and newest named vehicle suggests the fleet spans eras deliberately, which fits a setting built around a city with a long and specific history.
Some manufacturer names carry over - Declasse and Jobuilt both appear. Specific returning models beyond those shown are not confirmed.
Not confirmed. Los Santos Customs-style modification is a series staple, but Rockstar has not shown or described it for GTA VI.
Civilian aircraft appear in community trackers, but Rockstar has not featured aviation prominently in official footage so far.
Unknown. Rockstar has published no count, and the widely quoted figures are community projections.
